128. A Ghost

Part I ( 1/10/2020)

When I'm about to leave you're still sleeping. Your face is facing the window so I can only see your back. But I don't need to see your face to know what it looks like. You always have this calm face when you’re asleep. Your chin tucked in, and you always put your cheek on the dorsum of your opposite hand.

Even when you’re this quiet you’re beautiful.

Watching you, is like watching the paddle-Pop colored sky during sunset...celestial.

In my head I swear I have said my goodbye.

And I leave.

But still I feel so heavy.

I keep imagining how it would be like when you finally wake up and realize I’m not there.

But I'm a ghost.

I’m nothing but a helpless nebulous existence in your life.

Part II (12/2/2021)

I thought I had scared you. I thought my mere existence was causing horror to you.

I thought I was nothing but your nightmare.

I was ready to go, I was ready to disappear.

I saw the look in your eyes yesterday. I heard whispers so lovely it made my heart quivered. My head exploded from the tension, my whole body was bleeding.

What are you?

How are you awake?

Did you really see me or were you still dreaming?

Were you just sleepwalking?

Am I visible now?
